End of Sale of the HPE Aruba 2530 Switch Series
If you’ve ever seen one of our installs, you’re highly likely to see Aruba 2530 switches – they are (were..) our go-to switch for Layer 2 requirements for a long time.
These have now reached End of Sale (EOS) (and are now only available until supplies are gone..) and we are now finally starting to see that “supplies are gone”.
Their recommended replacements, the Aruba CX 6000 series, are now generally available, subject to stock. Pricing on these devices is roughly the same as the 2530 series – albeit with a small increase on certain models.
Replacement models are as follows.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) versions:
J9772A (Aruba 2530 48G PoE+ Switch) has been replaced by R8N85A (Aruba CX 6000 48G CL4 4SFP Switch)
J9773A (Aruba 2530 24G PoE+ Switch) has been replaced by R8N87A (Aruba CX 6000 24G CL4 4SFP Switch)
Non-Power-over-Ethernet versions:
J9775A ( Aruba 2530 48G Switch) has been replaced by R8N86A (Aruba CX 6000 48G 4SFP Switch)
J9776A (Aruba 2530 24G Switch) has been replaced by R8N88A (Aruba CX 6000 24G 4SFP Switch)
